Platform Overview | Architecture | Platform
The Delta Suite is designed and developed in a component-oriented way. Its ORBIX Enterprise CORBA middleware fits seamlessly into current enterprise SOA architectures. The design allows heavy numerical components to be installed on appropriate Multi-CPU machines, and database-oriented components on database machines, specialized for heavy I/O or data backup issues.
The whole system acts as a single software piece, communicating by CORBA, though distributed over a heterogeneous network consisting of different hardware and operating systems, with the option to port some components on IBM Mainframes. The component-oriented design is one of the most modern architectural designs currently existing on the market; it supports easy integration and easy extensions of functionality and scalability.
Highest performance to our customers
The system is open to .NET and J2EE, and thus supports web applications too. The system itself is written in C++/CORBA to achieve the highest possible performance, and uses a highly sophisticated multithreading model. GUIs are available on Windows and UNIX (Linux, Solaris), which reflect the state-of-the-art GUI design and represent a uniform GUI for all Delta Suite components.
Architectural highlights:
- Highest possible performance by C++/Multithreading
- Integration by / openness to third-party systems by providing .NET. COM, CORBA, J2EE interfaces
- Distributed system with backup servers, 24/7 support
- Support of WAN
- Support of XA and 2PC
